University of the Pacific

For over 60 years, University of the Pacific’s Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has trained pharmacists who are problem-solvers, innovators and leaders. The School was the first in California to offer a three-year accelerated PharmD program. To continue Pacific’s legacy of innovation, we are excited to launch our newly updated curriculum. We firmly believe the redesigned curriculum will engage and better prepare a new generation of pharmacists. We have intentionally integrated active learning techniques in our courses to help you gain the knowledge and skills needed to become a well-rounded, highly competent health care provider. You will be immersed in pharmacy practice experiences including community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, ambulatory care and internal medicine. You will hone your communication skills through team projects, team-based learning and patient care simulations. Our capstone courses help solidify concepts, shaping you into a practice-ready pharmacist. Our graduates are in demand! We ranked in the top 10% nationally in postgraduate residencies for the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Resident Matching Program.
