Homeowners seeking financial assistance with mortgage payments due to COVID-19

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program provides emergency rental and utility assistance to Louisiana residents who are at risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Both landlords and renters may apply. The program can provide assistance for past-due rent and forward rent payments for applicants, as well as utility costs.

The Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Fund program is a federally funded financial relief program for homeowners financially impacted by COVID-19 who are behind on their mortgages and at risk of foreclosure. The program, which can provide up to $25,000 per eligible homeowner, is funded through the U.S. Treasury Department and administered by the Louisiana Office of Community Development.
